Eu tinha minhas chaves configuradas para poder fazer ssh entre máquinas sem precisar digitar uma senha e tudo funcionou por um tempo, mas então, de repente, uma senha foi solicitada em algumas máquinas. Verifiquei as chaves - tudo parece estar bem. Executei ssh -v e aqui está a saída. Pelo que sei, a chave está sendo verificada com sucesso, então por que me pedem para inserir uma senha???

A propósito, não vejo mensagem informando que o servidor aceitou a autenticação:

~/.ssh/ tem modo 700, tentei executar ssh-copy-id e parece ter funcionado. Só para ter certeza, executei md5sum em id_rsa.pub em ambas as máquinas e elas são iguais. Além disso, a soma de verificação em chaves_autorizadas na máquina de destino corresponde à soma de verificação da chave pública (já que é a única chave nas chaves autorizadas).

Acontece que não apenas as permissões .ssh, mas também $HOME são importantes! $HOME não deve ter permissões definidas acima de 751.
