Não é possível instalar o Firefox no Semplice Linux

estou usandoSimples Linuxno VMware no Windows 7. Funciona bem, mas não consigo instalar o Firefox.

Semplice Linux é baseado no Debian Sid (ramo instável) com um desktop Openbox.

Isto é o que eu recebo

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa

Depois de adicionar as fontes conforme indicado na resposta, recebo o seguinte:

O ppa não "sabe" sobre o Semplice. Se for semelhante o suficiente ao Debian sid, tente adicionar o ppa manualmente em /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa/ubuntu unstable main 
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa/ubuntu unstable main

Como solução temporária e limitada para usar o Firefox sem instalação adequada:

--seguindoesseresponder --

  • Baixei oPacote Firefox

  • Desempacotei. Agora o Firefox pode ser iniciado a partir daí.

  • Criar um Firefox.desktoparquivo /usr/share/applicationsadicionaria isso às entradas do menu.
