Não sei dizer como está configurado o controlador (HBA ou não), mas
- nenhum ataque de hardware está disponível neste tipo de máquina
- Tenho acesso aos dados inteligentes de cada unidade. (então, se não for HBA, pelo menos JBOD)
Tivemos uma unidade com defeito e realizamos uma substituição. É quando identificamos um problema:

Só para deixar claro, estou tentando descobrir a razão por trás dessa velocidade crescente. Mas tudo o que tenho observado parece correto.
- relatório smartctl não é alarmante (conforme troca com OVH)
- Achei alarmante que o ECC tenha entrado em ação, mas duvido que 18 unidades estejam ruins:
