Ontem à noite fiz um apt-get updatee instalei algumas atualizações (infelizmente não prestei muita atenção no que instalei). Esta manhã, quando liguei o laptop, ele não inicializou e apareceu uma mensagem desse tipo:

Entrei no modo de recuperação e primeiro tentei liberar espaço. Não funcionou. Então tentei executar dpkg, mas o estado do sistema de arquivos estava no estado somente leitura. Então mudei o estado, corri dpkg, sem muita certeza do resultado. Nada aconteceu inicialmente, mas depois retomei e finalmente inicializou (mas incrivelmente lento). Executei o Smartcontrol e consegui isso:

Além disso, às vezes, quando reinicio o laptop, aparece

então eu faço login, mas o gráfico é uma piada e é muito lento.

Seu disco rígido parece estar falhando. Você deve, no mínimo, fazer backup de seus dados o mais rápido possível.
Você pode tentar mancar, às vezes você pode reformatar o disco e aproveitá-lo, mas ele pode falhar completamente a qualquer momento.
É melhor considerar a substituição do disco rígido.
