Eu tenho dois computadores: meu laptop, vagrante minha torre de desktop, frontier. Meu nome de usuário para ambos é joseph. Posso sshmuito bem de frontierpara vagrant, mas nunca fui capaz de fazer o contrário. Eu também não consegui descobrir o porquê. Tentei todas as soluções que encontrei, como reiniciar sshd, reinstalar ssh-daemon, até mesmo reinstalar o sistema operacional e muito mais. Sem sorte.
Hoje, tento novamente e parece funcionar. No entanto, ele apenas me conecta de volta ao meu laptop!
Executar ssh -v joseph@frontierno meu laptop me dá isto (algumas informações foram redigidas para evitar a revelação de informações pessoais):

Digitar minha senha me conecta a um prompt, que está na minha máquina local!! Como se eu tivesse de alguma forma ssh-edvoltado do meu laptop para o meu laptop!
Isso não faz sentido para mim. Minha última tentativa de consertar isso (por conta própria) resultou no bloqueio acidental do meu sistema operacional de desktop.
Estou executando o Linux Mint 17.1 em meu laptop e a versão mais recente do Manjaro em minha torre de desktop. Nunca encontrei nada parecido com isso.
Se houver alguma outra informação que eu possa fornecer, comente abaixo e eu a disponibilizarei o mais rápido possível.
