Como posso reproduzir outro arquivo mp3 sem precisar fechar o arquivo atualmente reproduzido no vlc?

Toquei uma música via terminal. Eu tentei o seguinte e me deu este resultado: -

agora a dúvida que tenho é, se quero mudar a música do mesmo terminal (sem abrir um novo), como fazer? Estive pesquisando, pesquisando no Google, também tentei ler o "vlc --help", mas não me ajudou. Acredito que obterei minha resposta aqui. Desde já agradeço :)

Você deve definir suas preferências de VLC para permitir a execução de várias instâncias. Para abrir as preferências do VLC, abra o VLC e vá paraFerramentas -> Preferênciase confirme se não há nenhuma marca de seleção em "Usar apenas uma instância quando iniciado a partir do gerenciador de arquivos" e em ""Permitir apenas uma instância".

Agora, inicie seu arquivo no terminal da seguinte maneira:

vlc --audio filename &

Observe o &no final do comando. Agora você não precisa encerrar o arquivo em execução para iniciar um novo.

Não está claro o que você quer exatamente, tocar música na linha de comando, sem interface?

Nesse caso, use cvlc conforme indicado na saída

Use 'cvlc' para usar vlc sem interface.

Então

cvlc --your-options --audio Galliyan.mp3

Você poderá repetir o comando depois que o mp3 terminar de ser reproduzido.

Ou você quer tocar 2 faixas ao mesmo tempo? com vlc? Alguns jogadores não permitem que você abra várias instâncias ao mesmo tempo (não tenho certeza sobre o vlc). Se você não puder fazer isso com o vlc, use um player diferente que permita múltiplas instâncias, seja gráfica ou de linha de comando, ou use 2 players diferentes. Eu sei que você pode tocar música ao mesmo tempo no Firefox, no Audacity e no Audacious, mas também não tenho certeza se é isso que você deseja.

Um mp3 player de linha de comando alternativo? existem vários, aplay é simples. Existem muitas alternativas muito legais, vejahttp://www.linuxjournal.com/content/rock-out-your-console-out

Ou você quer continuar usando o terminal? Neste caso use um "&"

cvlc --your-options --audio Galliyan.mp3 &

Você pode redirecionar mensagens de erro e fechar o terminal

nohup cvlc --your-options --audio Galliyan.mp3 &> /dev/null &
