O Samba não instala por causa de pacotes quebrados

Estou executando o Ubuntu Server 14.04.4 e não instalei o Samba com a configuração original do sistema operacional. Gostaria de instalá-lo agora, mas continuo recebendo um erro sobre pacotes quebrados. Parece que o problema principal é a samba-libsdependência. Diz:

Depends: libldb1 (< 1:1.1.25~) but 2:1.1.17-2 is to be installed

Mas já tenho o mais recente libldb1instalado. Tentei quase tudo que posso no Google, mas talvez esteja negligenciando alguma coisa. Qualquer indicação seria muito apreciada.

Aqui está o que está acontecendo:

O problema estava nas fontes do meu pacote, então mudei meu /etc/apt/sources.list de volta para o padrão com a ajuda derepogen.simplylinux.ch

Então executei estes comandos:

apt-get update
apt-get autoremove libtdb1 --purge
apt-get install libtdb1=1.3.8-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
apt-get install samba

sudo aptitude install samba

Eu resolvi isso assim:

sudo apt-get install libwbclient0=2:4.3.8+dfsg-0ubuntu1 &&
sudo apt-get install samba

O mesmo aconteceu comigo no Ubuntu Server 16.04.1, mas nenhuma das respostas anteriores funcionou para mim. Depois de procurar a solução por muitas horas, consegui que esta funcionasse corretamente:

sudo wget http://launchpadlibrarian.net/109052632/python-support_1.0.15_all.deb
sudo dpkg -i python-support_1.0.15_all.deb

Então corra:

sudo apt-get install samba
