Comprei o Wacom Tablet e pensei que ele funcionaria perfeitamente no Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS.. após o primeiro plugin o dispositivo funciona bem, mas depois de reiniciar o tablet da máquina funciona aleatoriamente, como um caos. O que poderia acontecer?
Lembro que anteriormente o comando me mostrava quatro itens, não apenas dois:

Wacom Co.,Ltd. Intuos BT M stylus id: 10 type: STYLUS
Wacom Co.,Ltd. Intuos BT M eraser id: 16 type: ERASER
Isso significa que o comando:
xsetwacom --set "Wacom Co.,Ltd. Intuos BT M stylus" PressureCurve 0 20 80 100
Preciso executar sempre ao inicializar a máquina? É possível instalar pacotes e drivers compilados, ao fazê-lo vejo que o repositório não funciona.

Eu tive o mesmo problema no Ubuntu 18.04.5. Quando lancei xsetwacom --list deviceso Ubuntu 18.04.4, sempre recebi
Wacom Intuos S Pad pad id: 13 type: PAD
Wacom Intuos S Pen stylus id: 15 type: STYLUS
Wacom Intuos S Pen eraser id: 16 type: ERASER
Wacom Intuos S Pen cursor id: 17 type: CURSOR
e tudo funcionou bem. Depois de atualizar para o Ubuntu 18.04.5 e reiniciar, vi apenas duas entradas após emitirxsetwacom --list devices
Wacom Intuos S Pen stylus id: 15 type: STYLUS
Wacom Intuos S Pen eraser id: 16 type: ERASER
e o tablet/stylos deu errado, ou seja, pressionamentos aleatórios de botões, apenas um quarto do espaço do tablet funcionando, etc.
Encontrei algumas dicas aqui nesta solução anterior:WACOM Intuos não funciona no Ubuntu 18.04
O que resolveu para mim foi esta dica da solução acima: "...você precisa fazer com que ele volte ao modo normal pressionando o primeiro e o quarto botões simultaneamente por cerca de dez segundos. Você pode verificar simultaneamente o estado de xsetwacom --list devicesquando ainda está pressionando esses botões."
Depois de fazer isso e emitir, xsetwacom --list devicesrecuperei as quatro entradas familiares e tudo parece funcionar normalmente novamente no Ubuntu 18.04.5
