Há algum tempo, inicializei meu computador com Windows 10 e Linux Mint 18:Sarah. O Windows 10 criou um hiberfil.sysarquivo por padrão (para salvar instantâneos do sistema ou algo assim?) Enquanto eu usava o recurso de reinicialização do Windows. O problema que isso criou foi que meu computador não reconheceu o grub, que gerencia as partições do meu sistema e inicializou imediatamente no Windows.
Resolvi esse problema usando "Boot-Repair", então agora posso acessar ambas as partições do sistema. Mas então ISSO quebrou apt-get, então agora não consigo instalar NENHUM software sudo apt-get install ___ou executar umsudo apt-get upgrade
O que está quebrado é o meu grub, ou bem, o sistema espera outra versão do grub conhecida como grub2-common, mas em vez disso ele tem a versão 2.02 ~ beta2-36ubuntu3.1 do grub instalada.
Agora vou mostrar o resultado de quando executo alguns comandos:

Novamente, o mesmo problema com o grub.
Por fim, mais um comentário que gostaria de fazer: não consigo sudo apt-getinstalar nada... o que inclui atualizar repositórios grub!

A aptidão parece ir um pouco mais longe. Mas depois de selecionar sim duas vezes, ainda não consigo instalar meu software.

Ok, isso é necropostagem, mas resolvi da seguinte maneira:
- crie backup do estado atual do apt (e mantenha-o por perto).
- copie a cópia de backup para a atual.
- atualização do apt-get
- remova o backup criado acima.
listagem de comandos:
root@host# cd /var/lib/dpkg
root@host# cp status status.backup
root@host# cp status-old status-old.backup
root@host# cp status-old status
root@host# apt-get update
root@host# apt-get upgrade
root@host# rm status.backup
root@host# rm status-old.backup
Por que diabos o banco de dados do apt foi corrompido está além do meu conhecimento, alguns caracteres pareciam ter sido mutilados (ou seja, um "c" tornou-se "@" e similares). Eu acho que algum módulo de RAM ruim pode causar isso, mas todos eles testaram bem.

No meu caso, o problema acabou sendo o que /var/lib/dpkg/availableestava faltando. A correção foi no toucharquivo ausente. A reconstrução do arquivo disponível é possível, mas não obrigatória.

Primeiro, em seu terminal Linux Mint, obtenha o .deb para grub-common;
wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/grub2/grub-common_2.02-2ubuntu8_amd64.deb
em seguida, descompacte o arquivo,
sudo dpkg -i grub-common_2.02-2ubuntu8_amd64.deb
grub-common requer: gettext-base, libc6, libdevmapper1.02.1, libfreetype6, libfuse2, liblzma5, lsb-base

Não tenho certeza se esta é uma lógica fictícia ou algo assim. Mas eu tentei isso e funcionou perfeitamente para mim:
sudo apt upgrade grub-common grub2-common
