Já tentei instalar muitos aplicativos via terminal e tudo que recebo são erros. Quando eu digito:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-software-center
tudo que consigo é
alex@alex-NV55C:~$ sudo apt-get install ubuntu-software-center

Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package ubuntu-software-center
Também tentei instalar o wine e depois entro via terminal
sudo apt-get install wine
eu recebo
alex@alex-NV55C:~$ sudo apt-get install wine

Reading state information... Done

Tente remover o centro de software existente e instale usando os seguintes comandos,
sudo apt-get remove software-center
sudo apt-get install software-center
