Analisei outras perguntas e respostas sobre configuração sobre eth0 e wlan0. Nada sugerido parecia funcionar. Executando 14.04 Lubuntu no desktop e filhoteLinux no laptop cliente.

Observe que não existe um endereço IP para eth0, embora a interface tenha um endereço de hardware.

A interface Ethernet no nó filhote de cachorro não consegue se conectar à Internet. Se eu adicionar um endereço IP estático de 192.168.1.70 à eth0 em meu desktop, HP-Pavilion, recebo mensagens de “incapaz de resolver o host: HP-Pavilion”. Parece haver um conflito entre wlan0 e eth0.
Qual deve ser a configuração de eth0 e wlan0 para o Lubuntu 14.04.3 para permitir a comunicação local entre computadores e conexão sem fio à internet?
PC cliente alterado para HPMini rodando Lubuntu 14.04.3. Cabo Ethernet conectado ao desktop. PC cliente inicializado com Ethernet sendo exibida em vez de sua interface sem fio. Desktop ifconfig eth0 mostrou inet: 10.42.0.1, Bcast: 10.42.0.255. O HPMini ifconfig eth0 mostrou inet: 10.42.0.57, Bcast: 10.42.0.255. Servidores DNS 127.0.1.1 e domínio de pesquisa attlocal.net.
A questão pode ser retirada.
