У меня проблема с загрузкой карты NVIDIA. Я получаю классическое сообщение "экраны не найдены". Я даже заставил его использовать "ConnectedMonitor" DFP-0 для экрана моего ноутбука.
Я подозреваю, что что-то не так с моими настройками, которые распознают мою плоскую панель. Мои драйверы NVIDIA не видят ее, а затем Optimus включает встроенные драйверы видео Intel и загружает X таким образом.
Я перепробовал все возможные варианты, но безрезультатно (Nouveau, bumblebee+nvidia_current, только nvidia-current и драйверы NVIDIA с сайта NVIDIA).
Достаточно интересно, что если я подключаю монитор через разъем DVI через док-станцию, драйверы NVIDIA успешно загружаются и находят DFP-3. Внешний монитор загружает Unity, но монитор ноутбука гаснет.

У меня нет вашего оборудования, но у меня те же проблемы на ноутбуке с двумя видеокартами.
В моем случае это было вызвано тем, что другая карта не подключена к моему внутреннему монитору ноутбука (она может быть подключена только к одной графической карте одновременно). Если вы не можете успешно включить/выключить нужную карту и включить ее на мониторе. Вот что вы получите.
Я заставил его работать, вручную пропихивая некоторые адреса памяти в grub. В вашем случае вам, вероятно, нужно сделать что-то конкретное для вашего оборудования. Вы пробовали использовать switcheroo?
