Не могу удалить Scala

Я установил Scala, следуя cs setupинструкциям на сайте Scala:https://www.scala-lang.org/download/

Теперь я не могу удалить его по какой-то причине. Я пробовал sudo apt-get purge scala, sudo apt-get remove scalaно он просто выводит "Пакет 'scala' не установлен, поэтому не удален". Однако команда scalaвсе еще работает.
