Сноска со специальным символом в команде «эпиграф»

У меня есть проблема, связанная с вопросом, касающимсясноски и эпиграф.

То есть, на этот вопрос egreg дал следующий (суперчистый!) ответ:

Просто используйте \footcitetext:

\epigraph{Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. 
  Ut purus elit, vestibulum ut}{Author\footnotemark}
\footcitetext{author00:_title}

Однако при таком ответе невозможно получить такой символ, как \daggerсимвол сноски.

Ниже ответа egreg я попросил его разъяснить, и он любезно указал, что получить такой результат можно, используя bigfootpackage.

Как должно выглядеть такое решение?

Я не думаю, bigfootчто пакет необходим, вы можете использовать

 \renewcommand*{\thefootnote}{\fnsymbol{footnote}}

(сохранение - до - и восстановление - после - числового значения счетчика сносок).

Для удобства я создал два макроса ( \switchfootnotenumsymи \switchfootnotesymnum) для переключения между двумя типами сносок:
