В свое время мне удалось сделать это следующим образом biblatex(и я рекомендую вам взять это на вооружение).
Добавьте ключевое слово в записи bibtex вашей публикации, например keywords = {mine}.
Затем для обычных ссылок используйте \printbibliography[notkeyword=mine](чтобы ваши публикации отфильтровывались).
Затем с помощью refcontextсоздайте список публикаций. Я использовал \nocite{}для установки порядка появления, так как refcontextвызывается с помощью [sorting = none]. При использовании \nocite{}предполагается, что ваши работы не упоминаются в тексте, а перечислены только в конце рукописи. Это также причина, по которой notkeywordтребуется на предыдущем шаге.

На самом деле вам не нужно разделять references.bibих mypublications.bib, но вполне вероятно, что вы будете использовать разные bibфайлы своих статей по отдельности, и быстрее всего будет добавить эти файлы по отдельности, а не объединять их (конечно, если нет дубликатов).
