Please note that it's required to reinstall all rubies:

    rvm reinstall all --force

Похоже, что где-то проблема с разрешениями, попробуйте запустить

./configure --prefix=/home/christopher/.rvm/usr

вручную в /home/christopher/.rvm/src/yaml-0.1.4, чтобы попытаться получить лучший журнал ошибок. Если этого недостаточно, вы можете попробовать выполнить команду конфигурации.
