У меня ноутбук Dell Inspiron 1525 с беспроводной связью Broadcomm.
После установки Ubuntu 13.10 он не обнаружил WiFi или Bluetooth. После проверки на форумах мне удалось исправить проблему с WiFi. Теперь индикатор WiFi светится, и я могу подключиться к своему маршрутизатору WiFi. Предпринятые шаги: 1. Установил Synaptic. 2. Удалил пакет bcmwl-kernel-source (я переустановил его ранее, но мой беспроводной доступ не работал, поэтому попробовал этот и следующий шаги) 3. Установил firmware-b43-installer и b43cutter. 4. Перезагрузил, и WiFi заработал. Но индикатор Bluetooth не горит, и он не определяется в rfkill

Задача решена.
У меня двойная загрузка с Windows 7. Проверил на форумах, есть ли предложение переустановить драйверы Bluetooth. Зашел на сайт Broadcom и установил последние драйверы Bluetooth.
Перезагрузил Windows 7, чтобы драйверы вступили в силу.
Снова проверил в Ubuntu и вуаля! Bluetooth снова заработал.
Драйвер Windows мог включать обновления/исправления прошивки, устраняющие проблему.
