Crontab не перезапускает службу автоматически

Я пытаюсь автоматически перезапускать процесс курения каждые пять минут с помощью crontab (для определенного теста), но, к сожалению, это не работает.

 ...

*/5 * * * * service smokeping restart

Что я делаю не так? В syslog нет информации.

Причина, по которой это не работает, заключается в том, что значение по умолчанию в cron PATHжестко закодировано и выглядит так:

Точнее, serviceкоманда не может быть найдена. Если вы попытаетесь выполнить, which serviceвы получите что-то вроде: /usr/sbin/service Вот почему может быть полезно явно задать PATHпеременную в вашем crontab.
