1 つの IP アドレス (aaa.bb.cd) の場合、eth0 ではなく eth1 経由で接続する必要があります (eth0 はデフォルトのアドレスであり、デフォルトのアドレスのままになるはずでしたが、eth1 が追加された後はデフォルトのままになったとは思いません)。

最後のルールは、コマンド <- を使用して自分で追加しましたがroute add -host 172.27.4.213 dev eth1、間違っていると思います。
