Während ich dies hier tippte, hat USC Steam aus meinen Anwendungen gelöscht, aus der Download-Liste entfernt, es wieder hinzugefügt und als ich es erneut über den Marktplatz installierte, erhielt ich die Meldung „Ihre Anfrage für ‚Steam‘ wird verarbeitet …“ „Informationen erhalten.“, was es bereits zuvor getan hat und auf unbestimmte Zeit so weitergehen wird.

Welches Ubuntu verwendest du? Und warum musst du es so installieren? Kannst du es nicht einfach so installieren?
sudo apt-get installiere Steam

Nebenbemerkung: Möglicherweise müssen Sie das eingeschränkte Repo in USC installieren, um Steam darüber installieren zu können.
