También intenté cambiar $mysqli = new mysqli("localhost", "root", "myPassword", "test_db", 13306);, pero esto no funciona porque me parece que mysqliesto se confunde con el localhostde mi máquina local. Sólo recibo el error anterior cuando uso 127.0.0.1.
¿Alguna sugerencia de qué estoy haciendo mal? ¿Por qué puedo conectarme a través de mi local mysql clienty también con dbeaver, PERO no a través de php?
Creo que el problema está en virtualbox, ya que funciona desde la computadora de un amigo.
