Hasta que reinstalé mi Virtual Box y Vagrant, todo funcionó correctamente.
Ahora, config.vm.synced_folder "source/tk_dev/src/repo/app", "/home/vagrant/www/tk_dev/app"en mi Vagrantfile aparece lo siguiente al escribir vagrant up:

Lamentablemente todavía no he encontrado ninguna solución. ¿Tienes alguna idea?

Encontré el motivo de mi problema. Tenía un enlace simbólico en mi máquina con Windows, que apuntaba desde mi repositorio al directorio compartido. Después de eliminar el enlace simbólico, funcionó. Parece que usar enlaces simbólicos es bastante difícil no solo en la máquina Linux sino también en la máquina en la que se ejecuta Virtual Box.
