Uso de Rrsync con Synology Active Backup for Business: ¿se guarda comentar una línea?

Antecedentes: quiero utilizar una diskstation Synology para la copia de seguridad de servidores Ubuntu Linux, sin que la diskstation tenga acceso de escritura al servidor por razones de seguridad.

Estoy usando el script /usr/bin/rrsync que está instalado en Ubuntu 20.04 para limitar el acceso desde Active Backup for business de mi Synology DiskStation.

Para que funcione tuve que modificar el script rrsync:

cambié la línea

our $short_disabled = '';

(eliminada "s")

y comenté

#die "$0: invalid rsync-command syntax or options\n" if $in_options;

En el .ssh/authorized_keys de mi usuario de respaldo uso

command="logger \"$SSH_ORIGINAL_COMMAND\"; sudo /usr/bin/rrsync -ro /" ssh-rsa 

La llamada del registrador es para depurar.

Cuando intento verificar la conexión en Active Backup para empresas, se realiza la siguiente llamada:

rsync --server --sender -sXe.LsfxC

Esto se interpreta como opciones u sintaxis del comando rsync no válidas.

Pregunta:¿Es seguro realizar esos cambios en el script o estoy socavando el propósito del script rsync restringido y así permitir que el servidor de respaldo de Synology (si pudiera verse comprometido) elimine archivos del servidor original?
