Recientemente reinstalé Ubuntu 14.04 y ya no puedo apagar la computadora, ni a través del panel superior ni mediante la línea de comando.
Probé muchas soluciones sugeridas en línea, como actualizar en /etc/default/grubla siguiente línea
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
Lo intenté con quiet splash acpi=force, quiet splash acpi=off, quiet splash reboot=biose incluso con GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="".
No lo tengo cairo-dockinstalado en mi computadora, no estoy usando un controlador propietario sino el Xorg nouveau.
La única solución para apagar la computadora es presionando el botón de encendido.
