Estou com um problema muito parecido com o listado neste link abaixo:
Ubuntu 18.04 e Intel HD Graphics 530
Tenho cerca de 10 HP 400 AIO doados. Eles têm as mesmas especificações do link acima e lshw exibe a mesma lista de hardware. Como o usuário conseguiu instalar e inicializar o Ubuntu usando a configuração nomodest em /etc/default/grub. Consegui instalar o Xubuntu 20.04.2. Além disso, configurei os interruptores GLX para exibir 1600X900. Após o login e após alguns minutos, a área de trabalho é bloqueada. O ponteiro funciona, mas nenhuma outra entrada é aceita. Posso executar cntrl alt f1e fazer login com sucesso. Portanto, todo o sistema não está prejudicado, mas a interface do usuário está inutilizável. Segui as etapas recomendadas nos links acima, exceto para tentar instalar o software no site da Intel. Achei que não é muito atual. Apenas tentando verificar isso e obter de meus companheiros de viagem mais algumas etapas de solução de problemas de dívidas que posso implementar.
