Quando tento autenticar para executar funções administrativas por meio da interface da Web, sou repetidamente solicitado a autenticar e não tenho permissão para adicionar uma impressora. Posso me autenticar para visualizar o log de erros, que gera o seguinte erro após cada tentativa fracassada de efetuar login como usuário = pi. pi tornou-se membro do grupo lpadmin. (sudo usermod -a -G lpadmin pi)

Anteriormente no log, há outros erros. Segue uma lista representativa:

Investigando mais profundamente, havia 2 processos cupsd em execução. Eu deveria ter visto isso em minha entrada editada (novas informações em 29 de setembro de 2019) acima.

A verificação de /lib/systemd/system revelou várias entradas para cups. Remover as entradas org.cups.* e aplicar um desligamento + reinicialização resolveu o problema.
