Eu tive um problema muito grave no meu computador thinkpad t490s. Eu estava usando tudo normalmente, mas de repente um aplicativo parou de responder, não parando por aí, outros aplicativos também travaram e não conseguiram responder. O que mais posso fazer, após cerca de 3 minutos eles desligam automaticamente, nenhum aplicativo no sistema pode iniciar e eu desligo o dispositivo com o botão Desligar e reinicio recebo a seguinte mensagem

Depois disso, tive que desligá-lo com força com o botão liga / desliga, e meu computador funcionou normalmente, algum tempo depois, talvez quando eu usar muita RAM ou CPU, isso aconteça de novo, foi tão ruim.

Parece que você tem um problema com o hardware do seu computador devido a erros de E/S. Pode ser uma unidade com falha.
Anteriormente, pensei que fosse um swaplock do Linux, mas não consegui ver os erros de E/S a princípio.
