como recarregar o pdf e preservar o mesmo arquivo de posição (no emacs)?

I would like to view pdf files in emacs, and when I reload them from disk I want to be at, more or less, the same position in the new file as I was in the old one.

I am viewing these with the bundled "DocView" (is there something better?)

Maybe there is a solution combining bookmarks and DocView?

aparte: decidi fazer disso uma pergunta sobre TeX porque há muito suporte para emacs aqui, e é realmente a única vez que me encontro compilando, recarregando e visualizando PDFs obsessivamente - e espero não ser o único!

Acontece que o DocView faz isso e eu não tinha notado antes! Então, para que conste:

solicita que você recarregue o pdf do disco e (nas situações que tentei) mantém você no mesmo local após a reversão do buffer. O comando invocado é doc-view-revert-buffer
