Estou tendo alguns problemas ao compilar minha tese com o recurso de externalização tikz no Texmaker. Eu criei o comando do usuário:
"D:/laTex/texlive2014/bin/win32/pdflatex.exe" -synctex=1 -interaction=nonstopmode --shell-escape %.tex
Estou usando isso no meu preâmbulo:

\usepackage{pgfplots}

\usepgfplotslibrary{external} %if I comment this
\tikzexternalize[prefix=tikz/] %and this the process goes fine

mas de qualquer forma não funciona.
Recebo isso nas janelas de erro:

mas não há nenhum arquivo de log na pasta que já criei.

Resolvi reinstalar o texlive, notei que digitando no cmd pdflatex.exe não encontrou nada. Agora estou funcionando e a string que escrevi na pergunta é a correta. Funciona mesmo sem o Optimize=false.
