Como você inicia uma seção com 0,0?

Como eu adicionaria a seção "Um breve prefácio"? Eu sei \section*{0.0 A Short Preface}que provavelmente ficaria bem, mas o TeX é incrível e deve haver uma maneira melhor.

Na sua forma mais simples, definir o contador de seção para -1fará com que a próxima seção seja 0.

Para alterar a aparência do seccionamento, por exemplo, para adicionar o número da subseção por padrão, é necessário redefinir \thesectiontambém.
